Senior Backend Developer – Data & Analytics

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement a mission-critical event tracking system for a web application with significant user traffic. The result will directly impact the client’s ability to understand user behavior, measure business metrics, and deliver data-driven experiences across their platform.
• Responsible for architecting and developing a scalable event collection infrastructure that captures user interactions across various frontend and backend services, with data ultimately flowing into a data warehouse for analysis.
• Translate business requirements into reliable data systems that deliver measurable value.

Requirements: 

• 5+ years of backend development experience with Node.js
• Experience with AWS
• Experience with Kafka or similar message queue technologies
• Strong understanding of API design and implementation
• Experience building SDKs or libraries consumed by other developers
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts with exposure to Snowflake or similar systems
• Experience with high-volume data processing
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures
• Experience with RESTful API design and implementation
• Experience with data modeling and schema design
• Experience implementing authentication and security best practices
• Excellent command of the English language both written and oral.

Nice to have:

• Prior experience building analytics or event tracking systems
• Understanding of frontend frameworks (React, Angular) for SDK integration purposes
• Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools
