Elumity is a personal software suite to collect, build, advance, share, and publish academic knowledge for more than 200 Million academics such as students, researchers, physicians, and other professionals in medicine, natural and social sciences.
Elumity was developed to reduce information overload, avoid PDF cluttering, and save time. Elumity cards organize thoughts and facts in their context and connect the pieces of knowledge in one place. They provide a level of interaction and productivity that goes beyond existing software and learning concepts. Being both a personal knowledge collection and a social medium, they combine authoritative and crowd knowledge simultaneously.
With growing content and its social media feature, Elumity will impact the productive workflow of researchers, their lifelong learning, and knowledge organization. Elumity will challenge and change the established ways within the industry.
Opis posla
As a Machine Learning Engineer at Elumity, you will be at the forefront of applying large language models (LLMs) and natural language processing (NLP) to transform how complex knowledge is captured, organized, and retrieved. You’ll work on building intelligent features that power semantic search, AI-assisted Q&A, summarization, and more — all tailored to the needs of medical and life science professionals. This is a high-impact role with ownership across the entire ML lifecycle, from experimentation to deployment in production.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing NLP pipelines to understand, tag, and summarize structured and unstructured medical/scientific content.
- Fine-tuning and optimizing LLMs (e.g., GPT, LLaMA, Mistral) for domain-specific use cases.
- Implementing semantic search, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and AI-powered Q&A systems.
- Collaborating with our frontend and backend engineers to bring ML-powered experiences into the product.
- Experimenting with prompt engineering, model evaluation, and active learning strategies.
Kvalifikacije
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Experience with production-level NLP systems and LLM applications.
- Strong Python and ML engineering skills (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX).
- Knowledge of document embeddings, RAG pipelines, and semantic search.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative startup environment.
