About the Role
We’re seeking a skilled Back End Engineer to join our team and build the foundation of our platform. You’ll work at the intersection of law and technology, creating robust APIs and services that power our AI-driven legal intelligence tools. This role offers significant growth opportunities—while you’ll start focused on backend engineering, there’s a clear path to expand into ML engineering and broader technical leadership based on your interests and aspirations.
What You’ll Do
- Build and scale our core infrastructure: Design and implement services and APIs that connect our ML systems with customer-facing products
- Develop internal tools: Create tooling that accelerates our machine learning workflows and improves team efficiency
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with product managers and ML engineers to translate business requirements into elegant technical solutions
- Extend our ML platform: Work alongside our AI team to enhance our machine learning capabilities and infrastructure
- Write maintainable code: Build reusable, well-documented code and packages that scale with our growth
- Shape technical direction: Contribute to architectural decisions as we scale our platform
Kvalifikacije
- 4-6+ years of hands-on experience building backend services, processes, and APIs in Python using frameworks like Flask or FastAPI
- Strong programming fundamentals with expert knowledge in Python and experience with modern frameworks
- Database expertise including both SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB) databases
- Cloud proficiency with AWS services and infrastructure
- Performance mindset with proven ability to write highly performant code that handles large data volumes
- Adaptability and eagerness to learn new technologies and work in a dynamic startup environment
- Communication skills that enable you to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Independence and mentorship ability to work autonomously while supporting and guiding team members
